Oregon Community Imaging

Welcome to Oregon Community Imaging

Oregon Community Imaging, LLC (OCI) was established in 2008 as a cooperative partnership among community healthcare organizations to improve how medical imaging data is shared and communicated in the care and treatment of patients. OCI represents a modern change in direction from historic radiology data transfer practices in order to provide physician offices with immediate, online access to a patient’s medical information. It accomplishes this through a state of the art, independent and secure data network and collaborative healthcare partnerships.

**** Oregon Community Imaging Upgrade Alert ****

This communication is to alert you to an upcoming upgrade to the Oregon Community Imaging (OCI PACS) x-ray viewing system which will occur at 11pm on May 31, 2012. Your assistance is being requested to download and install a copy of the new viewing application prior to May 31, 2012 to avoid any delays or interruptions in your x-ray viewing process.

Oregon Community Imaging has been in contact with many provider offices to alert them about the upgrade process, however, with approximately 900 clinical users, we recommend that you confirm an internal upgrade plan with your organization’s information technology support staff prior to May 31st.

The primary purpose of the upgrade is to provide compatibility with newer versions of Windows operating systems as well as to enable new viewing features. We understand upgrades can be disruptive to clinical functions so we have made every attempt to minimize the occurrence and frequency of upgrades.

What will be required:

1. Prior to May 31st, download a saved copy of the upgrade installation file located at http://www.ocipacs.com/iSiteEnterpriseSetup.exe. This is a large 24mb file so will take several minutes to download depending on your office internet connection.

2. An IT specialist for your office or a user with administrative rights with the ability to load software programs should install the downloaded file on each of your clinical viewing workstations.

3. During installation, the user will be asked if you want to delete the old client viewing program. Please answer “No” to this prompt, prior to May 31st or this will disrupt your current ability to view images

4. Through May 31st, users should continue accessing the OCI x-ray viewing in the same traditional manner. After May 31st, users will need to use the new icon to connect to the system.

*Please note that even with the new upgrade, the Philips Medical iSite viewing system is not yet compatible with Internet Explorer 9.0
