Health care organizations in the Willamette Valley established Oregon Community Imaging (OCI) in 2008 as a community partnership to improve how imaging data is shared among providers in the care and treatment of patients. Using our online Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS) allows providers an immediate, single point of access to easily retrieve patient exams and reports, bringing together information from multiple facilities in the quickest, most efficient way possible.

OCI aims to:

  • Facilitate a community-based image viewing system that provides comprehensive radiographic history on patients with reports and study images available from any internet-accessible computer
  • Leverage exam volumes of multiple imaging providers to reduce the per study costs for all
  • Provide 24/7/365 help desk support to any users accessing the system
  • Expedite patient care and reduce report turnaround time by having a patient’s complete history accessible in a single system, removing the need for referring providers to request imaging studies and wait for their delivery between facilities
